Get started and get the most out of Business Buddy.

Getting started

  1. Enter your business details in the settings
  2. Configure keywords starting with # (e.g., #HELP, #INFO)
  3. Set up auto-responses for each keyword
  4. Enable the auto-reply service
  5. Save your settings

Keywords

  • All keywords must start with #
  • Keywords are case-insensitive
  • Free: 2 keyword slots · Premium: 30 keyword slots
  • When someone texts a keyword, they receive your auto-response

Response templates

Use templates to quickly create responses with variables:

  • {businessname} — Your business name
  • {business-address} — Your business address
  • {businessnumber} — Your business number
  • {businessemail} — Your business email
  • {sendersname} — Sender's name (if saved in contacts)
  • {date} — Current date
  • {time} — Current time

  • Rate limiting — control how many messages are sent
  • Response delay — add delay before sending auto-replies
  • Preview & test — see how messages will look before sending
  • Backup & restore — export and import your settings

Tips

  • Use clear, memorable keywords (e.g., #HELP, #HOURS, #MENU)
  • Keep responses concise and helpful
  • Test your messages using the Preview feature
  • Use templates to save time and maintain consistency
  • Regularly check your message history to monitor activity
